the basics

To model with us you must:

- Be aged between 18 & 30

- Be at least 5'10" tall

- Be at least 11 stone (70kg) in weight

- Have an athletic, well defined physique.

do I need experience?

No, you do not need experience to apply, and we're usually very happy to discover new talent.

what kind of photos do you do?

Urban Photography are leaders in producing glamour shots of sexy men. All of our work is about sexy guys with fit bodies. We specialize in body shots, so

Please don't waste your time applying to us if you're not happy showing your body in front of the camera.

what about nudity?

Nudity means photographs where you are wearing nothing. You can see examples of different kinds of modelling and nudity here. We prefer to work with models who are comfortable doing nude work - we can offer more work to guys who do nude than those who don't. When you apply, we will ask you what type of work you want to do, and will consider you for the various projects we're working on based on your responses.

what about fashion and sports shots?

We do not do any fashion or sports photography, so if you're looking to be a fashion or sports model, we're not the photographers for you. Please don't waste our time, and yours, if you really want to be a fashion model.

how good does my body need to be?

Ideally, we're looking for perfection. Modelling isn't about looking nice, it's about people paying to look at your photo, so we're looking for a really high standard. As a minimum, you need to have a six-pack and be well-toned. Unless mother nature's been very very kind to you, it's unlikely we'll use you unless you a regular gym user or sportsman. Take a look through our gallery, you'll see the type of standard we work with. If you think you're as good, or better, than those guys then by all means apply.

where will my photos be seen?

As commercial photographers, we earn our money by selling the photos we take. We mainly sell to women's publications, and to publications aimed at gay men. We only work with reputable publications, so your work won't be featured anywhere sleazy. When we take shots of you, we will only pay you if you sign a release form, which allows us to publish the shot without your permission anywhere.

how much do I get paid?

We pay experienced models up to £150 per shoot, with each shoot taking 1 or 2 hours in front of the camera. We pay all models by bank transfer and cannot pay cash.

If you are new to modelling, we will normally want you to do some "warm up" shoots with us to build up your confidence and skills in front of the camera. You won't be paid for these, and we won't normally use the shots from these shoots.

do I pay a registration fee or anything?

We will not charge you a penny for working with you. There is no registration fee and we don't insist that you pay for any photos, even if you have no experience.

do I get free photos?

We will ONLY give you free copies of photos which we are going to use for publication. So, if you do a shoot for us and we take 100 shots, we will ONLY give you a copy of the 1 shot that we choose for publication. To stress, we will NOT give you a CD with all the photos we have taken on it.

how can I get you to do my portfolio?

If you would like us to do a photo shoot for your portfolio, we're happy to do this, but you do need to pay us. Just get in touch and we'll tell you more.

how do I apply?

You just fill a form online. You have to attach photos to your application, and these must include one close-up of your face, and one shot showing your physique in shorts, swimwear, underwear or nude.

what happens then?

we will look at your application and give you feedback.

We're dead busy, and we already have a good selection of models that we work with regularly. When you apply we may take a while to come back to you, and you may have to wait a few weeks for your casting.
